Tahoe diesel, Duramax 3.0L: 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque. Available on LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Chevrolet lists TOP TIER diesel and up to 624 miles of EPA-estimated max highway range per tank when properly equipped. That is the Tahoe diesel path. It does not automatically mean 8,400 pounds of towing power on every VIN.
